  1. When did your self-care journey begin?

My self-care journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic when I was struggling with insomnia. I realized that I needed to take better care of myself, and so I started exploring ways to improve my overall well-being.

One of the first things I did was to start reading self-help books. These books provided me with valuable insights and advice on how to better take care of myself. I also began to pay more attention to my physical appearance. I started spoiling myself with skincare products, which made me feel more confident and comfortable in my own body.

I also started wearing jewelry and clothing that made me feel good, which helped to boost my self-esteem.

Through these acts of self-care, I was able to improve my mental and physical health, leading to a more positive and fulfilling life. 

  1. What does self-care mean to you?

To me, self-care means taking intentional actions to prioritize and improve my physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It involves taking time to do things that make me feel good and help me to be my best self.

Self-care is important because it helps me to reduce stress and anxiety, improves my mood, and helps me to be more productive and focused in my daily life. When I take care of myself, I feel more energized and motivated, and I am able to tackle challenges with greater ease and confidence.

Self-care can take many forms, such as getting enough rest, eating healthy, exercising, meditating, spending time in nature, or doing activities that I enjoy.

By prioritizing self-care, I am able to align with my highest self and live a more fulfilling and joyful life.

  1. What advice would you give to someone who is at the beginning of their self-care journey?

If someone is at the beginning of their self-care journey, my advice would be to start by doing things that make them feel good. Self-care is a personal and individual journey, and everyone's needs and preferences are different. It's important to focus on activities and practices that resonate with you and make you feel good.

For example, if taking care of your skin is important to you, then incorporate a skincare routine into your daily self-care practice. Or, if wearing clothes that make you feel good is important to you, then prioritize finding clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident.

It's also important to remember that self-care is not just about physical activities, but also includes taking care of your mental and emotional well-being. So, take time to rest and recharge when you need it, and prioritize activities that help you to reduce stress and feel more relaxed.

Ultimately, the key to a successful self-care journey is to focus on what feels good for you, and to be patient and compassionate with yourself as you explore new practices and activities. Remember that self-care is an ongoing process, and it's important to listen to your body and adjust your routine as needed to ensure that you're taking care of yourself in the best way possible.
